Facebook does not fact check political ads on its site. This is its policy.
This is a wise move. If the social media giant got into the business of censoring some ads based on "facts," it would be a nightmare.
Facebook would be attacked from all sides for favoring one ad over another. The best thing to do is to let all the ads run and let political commentators, and other observers, comment on the truthfulness and accuracy of various ads.
But Elizabeth Warren will have none of it. She wants censorship and she wants it now.
She has now taken out a text ad on Facebook. “Breaking news: Mark Zuckerberg and Facebook just endorsed Donald Trump for re-election,” the ad reads. It then goes on to say that while this isn’t true, Zuckerberg has “given Donald Trump free rein to lie” on Facebook.
Facebook responded with a tweet stating that the Federal Communications Commission “doesn’t want broadcast companies censoring candidates’ speech. We agree it’s better to let voters — not companies — decide.”
Warren is a power-hungry, central-planning freak. She is the most dangerous of all the presidential candidates.

Her rhetoric is frightening. And once again we see the tactic of accusing your opponent of the very vice of which you are guilty. All politicians are running around with their pants on fire and lying about it. This is another reason why no rational human should participate. Don't vote.
ReplyDeleteBut hey, she just came out for the gold standard. "Medicare for all is the gold standard." - Elizabeth Warren
