I consider Laurence to be one of the most underrated libertarian writers. He is hardcore libertarian and consistent in his writings. Plus he writes clearly.
I asked him which book, of the many he has written, would he recommend as the best introduction to libertarians, without hesitation he said, The Free Society.

This is a serious question; I'm not joking or trolling: was he wearing a bulletproof vest or something under his shirt? I've never seen a guy who's on the hefty side built like that, so I don't think that's what it is.
ReplyDeleteI ask because I sincerely wonder whether the anti-military stuff he has written has earned him the kind of hate mail that makes him fear for his safety when he's in public, although I don't think his face is famous enough for most people who've read any of his stuff to recognize him when they see him. (I think this is the first picture I've ever seen of him.)
