Daniel emails me:
"They said I would not be reinstated. My crime? I called Sean Hannity 'retarded.' But do a Twitter search on use of the term and you will see it’s use millions of times with impunity."

UPDATE
Here is the final word from Twitter after Daniel appealed:
Hello,
Your account has been suspended and will not be restored because it was found to be violating Twitter's Terms of Service, specifically the Twitter Rules against hateful conduct.
It is against our rules to promote violence against or directly attack or threaten other people on the basis of race, ethnicity, national origin, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity, religious affiliation, age, disability, or disease.
Additionally, if we determine that the primary purpose of an account is to incite harm towards others on the basis of these categories, that account may be suspended without prior warning.
You can learn more about our policy against hateful conduct here: https://help.twitter.com/rules-and-policies/hateful-conduct-policy.
Thanks,
I once heard a guy say “the truth is never mean”, but I guess twitter thinks otherwise. Tsk Tsk Daniel, you ol bully! Spewing that hate about Peace and Prosperity.
ReplyDeleteIf only there was a media alternative... ;-)
(Shouldn't their description of hus status be "terminated" instead of "suspended and will not be restored"?)
ReplyDeleteAnyway that's too bad. I was a subscriber to his twitter & it looked pretty innocent to me.
There is gab, but folks want to be where the crowd is.
Despite your recent post about Google's supposedly more lenient ban policy, Google & YouTube is going mad on this stuff. My youtube channel with 11+ million views waa demonitied last year with a chance to reapply, but theu also deleted several of my vids without even a warning , claiming they were "hateful." One was a benign discussion on a radio show with Dr Kevin Barrett about how former president Jimmy Carter had been sued over his Palestine book by a group of jews. Their lawyer happened to be the same lawyer who represented the infamous 'Dancing Israelis' of 9/11 in NJ, when 4 of them sued Ashcroft & the bureau of federal prisons for abuse they allegedly suffered while in federal custody before being released back to Israel. (That case was tossed after they never served the defendant.)
The point is , Google is just nuts & are banning content like mad dogs. They also deleted my personal encounter with Trump which was my own footage, I own. They deemed that "hateful" too, but of course they don't explain why. It's basically a bot-like script which informs users of such decisions , with no recourse except another bot-like response such as the one Daniel got from twitter. Such is life in 2019.
But still, all this is nonsense compared to the real tyranny which much of the world's population is forced to live under.
I kinda feel sorry for these twitter people with their shackled minds and emotions.
ReplyDeleteEven on Twitter's own terms, use of that word doesn't seem to qualify for suspension. How is that word being used "to promote violence against or directly attack or threaten other people..."? Merely describing someone isn't promoting violence, or attacking or threatening, or inciting harm.
ReplyDeleteNever mind the lunacy of applying this rule to McAdams of all people, who spends his life arguing against the mass murder of foreigners by the US government!
I love this story.
ReplyDeleteWhat now you can't direct attacks on straight white male republicans.
ReplyDeleteYou’d think they’d let it slide since it was against Hannity, but I guess overall too much truth comes from McAdams. It’s too bad, he was one of my favorite people to follow. Always calling people out in their BS.
ReplyDeleteBeing banned by F/G/T is now a badge of honor. If you aren't banned yet, you must be a timid coward or something.
