Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is Just One Step Away From Calling for the End of the US Senate

And it is not for anarcho-capitalist reasons, but for socialist populist rule across every nook and cranny of the United States.

That said, it won't happen (anytime soon), Dana Perino explains:

Look, AOC is using Leninist tactics by pushing at any point where she and her team can gain more power and control. Some points will break for her right away, other attacks are made for the long game.

By the way, she is now at 5.2 million followers on Twitter.

    1. From the 1858 Lincoln-Douglas Debates as quoted in “Emancipating Slaves, Enslaving Free Men”, by Jeffery Hummel, p. 116:

“I will say then, that I am not nor ever have been in favor of bringing about in any way, the social and political equality of the white and black races—-that I am not, nor ever have been in favor of making voters of the negroes, or jurors, or qualifying them to hold office, or having them to marry white people. I will say in addition, that there is a physical difference between the white and black races, which I suppose, will forever forbid the two races living together on terms of social and political equality; and inasmuch as they cannot so live, that while they do remain together, there must be the position of superior and inferior, that I as much as any other man am in favor of having the superior position assigned to the white man.”

Lincoln went on to add that just “because the white man is to have the superior position” it did not follow that “the negro should be denied everything. I do not understand that because I do not want a negro woman for a slave, I must necessarily want her for a wife. My understanding is I can just leave her alone”

Like Thomas Jefferson, Lincoln favored colonizing emancipated slaves in Africa or Latin America. But he did insist that “in the right to eat the bread, without leave of anybody else, which his own hand earns,” the black man “ is my own equal and Judge Douglas’ equal, and the equal of every living man.”

  3. Dana Perino barely touched on the reason the electoral college was created by the founders. To mitigate the potential excesses of democracy. Nor did she explain why the electoral college is not racist. In fact it could be just as racist as congress. But the discussion is a tempest in a teapot. The main defense against the excesses of democracy was suppose to be the states themselves and the senators each state selected. Now that senators are popularly elected they are less loyal to the states and their citizens and more subject to special interest pleadings. The electoral college is a very weak part of the system designed to implement a republic not a democracy. From the perspective of individual liberty the US government is a failed experiment and should be abandoned.
