“The Islamic Revolution has never been an initiator of tension during its 40-year-old history, however, it has not hesitated to respond to bullies and thugs,” Mohsen Rezaee tweeted on Friday.
“If Britain doesn’t return the Iranian tanker, the duty of responsible [Iranian] bodies is to seize a British oil tanker in a retaliatory measure,” he continued.
Indications are that the US was behind the seizure.
Spain's acting foreign minister, Josep Borrell, said the United States had asked the UK to intercept the ship.
War hawk John Bolton, who is national security adviser to President Trump, via tweet cheered the tension raiser.
-RWExcellent news: UK has detained the supertanker Grace I laden with Iranian oil bound for Syria in violation of EU sanctions. America & our allies will continue to prevent regimes in Tehran & Damascus from profiting off this illicit trade.— John Bolton (@AmbJohnBolton) July 4, 2019
There has never been a war that Bolton didn't support, unless it was one he may have actually had to fight in.
ReplyDeleteThey really are psychopaths. I mean really.
ReplyDeleteIndeed. But it's also telling that no one in the mainstream media asks Bolton what initial act of aggression Iran committed against the US or UK which justifies seizing oil produced in Iran. Disobeying a diktat from the US government is not an act of aggression.
DeleteThey sure are. No doubt.
