A Republican from New Jersey, Rich Valdes, plans to move to Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s district to run against her in the 2020 election, reports The New York Post.
It's a long shot, the AOC territory is not exactly Republican territory but it appears Valdes knows how to shake things up. He is a conservative radio producer who previously worked for NJ Gov. Chris Christie. He currently works as a producer for the Mark Levin show. He has also worked with Project Veritas.
According to The Post, during a talk Thursday evening at the Queens Village Republican Club, he said, “AOC – All Out Crazy – wants to establish a new Soviet Republic. I believe in capitalism over socialism. Her misguided policies don’t represent the district.”
“She’s great at fundraising but not at constituent services. Ask around, most constituents don’t think climate change is a number one issue,” he added.
“People see me and they say ‘wow’ we see you more than we see her!” he said.
“That’s interesting for a carpetbagger,” he said, adding: “ I know I speak better Spanish than her.”
Coming out of the Christie regime is not exactly a solid reference and he is probably a neo-con but it would difficult to be worse than AOC.
