There are at least 3 mini-Cuban missile crises going on in the world and any one of them, or all of them, could develop into something much more serious at any time.
The most intense hot spots are:
Iran
Venezuela
North Korea
And you could easily add China and Russia to the list.
This has to be attributed to the lack of any kind of diplomatic core around President Trump.
He is a man full of bluff and bluster and little else and he has eliminated the diplomats.
At the same time, he has surrounded himself with neocons and sycophants.
There is no person anywhere near the White House that can be considered a calm and measured presence--no one.
This is not good.
Is it likely that we will get out of all these regions of escalating tensions without shots being fired?
The odds seem slim.
