Pete Buttigieg on the Rise?

Spencer C emails:

I’ve seen two short interviews of this guy Buttigieg, including the one linked below. He is very smooth, in my opinion. He may or may not be able to knock off Crazy Bernie this cycle but he’s nevertheless someone to watch.

I also have some proprietary data to back up this opinion.

The chart below shows the number of Twitter followers he has over time. His first CNN town hall appearance was on March 10, which coincides nicely with the apparent explosion in Twitter followers. 600,000 is not all that much compared to other candidates but he quickly goes from about 100,000 to 600,000 in about 2.5 weeks after his first major TV appearance without any sign of slowing down.

RW response:

Hi Spencer,

Thanks for the email and chart. Very interesting.

You are correct he is a smooth talker but I am not sure he would be any better than Bernie. In the youtube you sent along, he basically talks air other than to say he is not for "democratic socialism" but "democratic capitalism," whatever the hell he means by that. Then he goes on to suggest he is in favor of Obamacare.

My guess is the Deep State would love this guy--a perfect front man.

  1. Buttigieg is worse than Bernie & Trump. He’s just as hungry for war with Iran as the current administration, wants Snowden, Manning, Assange locked up, wants permanent troops in Syria, & wants to hit the reset button on our new friendly relationship with North Korea. He’s also a war vet that has establishment Manchurian candidate written all over him. The reason he is gaining traction is probably because the deep state is giving him a push behind the scenes.

  2. If Pete is really concerned with hypocrisy, he'd become a Libertarian for sure. We are the most consistent group of people there is! He seems like a lightweight that won't get any traction from the Dem base.
