New update: CNN fires Garagos
OK, this is getting crazy.
Attorney Michael Avenatti, who had represented adult-film actress Stormy Daniels against Donald Trump, was arrested today and charged in two federal cases with wire fraud, bank fraud and attempting to extort more than $20 million from Nike Inc.
Daniels had recently fired Avenatti and has issued this statement via Twitter:

But the developments are now over the top:

Geragos is a CNN legal analyst and also represents Jussie Smollett.

From CNN:
Attorney Mark Geragos is the unnamed co-conspirator referred to in the Southern District of New York's criminal complaint against Michael Avenatti, a source familiar confirms to CNN.
The complaint described the co-conspirator as "an attorney licensed in California who's known for his representation of celebrity and public figure clients."
Geragos has not been charged with a crime.
Geragos did not immediately respond to CNN's request for comment.
Geragos, who has represented a number of high profile clients including Chris Brown and Jussie Smollett, was a CNN contributor.UPDATE 2
