VIDEO The Willingness of Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez to Compromise

Vladimir Lenin
In a 60 Minutes' interview, conducted by Anderson Cooper and broadcast Sunday, the socialist Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez says she'll be willing to compromise with Republicans on some issues.

But her brand of compromise strikes me as very Leninist, you use other groups in alliances to advance your agenda and then cut them off when they are no longer of value.

In his unpublished paper on strategy, Murray Rothbard discussed this Leninist strategy.

Never forget, AOC has a very extreme radical leftist agenda and she understands strategy all too well.

  1. Isn’t this what Rothbard advocated to advance liberty?

  2. I don’t buy any this “imports, foreigners and immigrants are taking our jobs” nonsense but I have real concern about immigrants (and their offspring) with attitudes at odds with private property rights. The fact that we have many homegrown commies does not alter my concern. And expressing these concerns does not make me a racist nor does it imply an irrational emotional fear of immigrants.

Kshama Sawant was born to Vasundhara and H. T. Ramanujam in Pune, in the Western Indian state of Maharashtra, in a Hindu middle-class family. She is a democratic socialist, politician and economist, a member of Socialist Alternative who sits on the Seattle City Council.

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez was born in the Bronx to parent of Puerto Rican descent.

The eldest of fourteen children, Rashida Harbi was born on July 24, 1976, to working-class Palestinian immigrants in Detroit. Her mother was born in Beit Ur El Foka, near the West Bank city of Ramallah. Her father was born in Beit Hanina, a neighborhood in Jerusalem. He moved first to Nicaragua, then to Detroit, where he worked on an assembly line in a Ford Motor Company plant.

    1. The hip young immigrant dems learned their socialism at American colleges more so than from their immigrant parents in my opinion. They're attitudes are no different from those of their white, homegrown counterparts. We are not importing socialists. We are creating them.

    2. Education both early and college will be pointed at in hindsight as the culprit for the crash of the American standard and the end of yet another empire.

  3. How many libertarians were raised in a libertarian household?

  4. There at least two approaches to someone like AOC. The first is to respond to almost every (crazy) thing she says and attempt to rebut it; perhaps even try to turn her toward liberty. The second is to totally ignore her ravings. I'm slightly guilty of the first approach since I wrote an op-ed sometime back refuting her socialist quackery. Now I'm not so sure that is the correct approach. AOC is the new darling of the left-wing media and will always have an outlet for her proposals, nutty though they may be. Further, any criticism of her allows her and her supporters to respond with additional nonsense, i.e., still more media attention. Thus the phenomenon grows farther and wider in the social media world that we now inhabit. Until some lightweight like Andersen Cooper decides to interview, say, Bob or Walter or Tom Woods on "60 Minutes", I say we ignore the clever socialist and stop feeding her ego and the media pump machine.
