Has Tyler Cowen, who was once viewed by some as the next great libertarian, been captured by the Cultural Marxist Left?
He writes:
Overall, I believe the intersectionality concept is underrated by many people in the mainstream and on the political Right. It suffers from some of the problems that would be predicted by…the intersectionality concept.Yes, this intersectionality.

Considering all of the scholarships I see available for everybody except white males, and internship positions specifically for women or black people, I find it hard to believe there is any institutional bias other than in women's and minorities' favor.
ReplyDeleteTaken to its ultimate conclusion intersectionality ends with the individual. So yes, intersectionality is underrated.
ReplyDeleteYou have to be kidding. It is all about group politics.
DeleteYes but the promoters of intersectionality that are trying to put people in groups don't get the irony that their logic taken to its extent leads to individualism. If they want to divide and concur lets get down to the nitty gritty and divide all the way.
DeleteI don't agree with Jordan Peterson on his psychological model or therapeutic practice, but his takedown of intersectionality is absolutely correct. Worth a Google. I think Walter makes a similar, if not identical, argument.
ReplyDeleteI always found it odd that social justice advocates also tend to favor democracy, which is by definition the political subjugation of the minority at the hands of the majority.
