BREAKING Ted Cruz Introducing Emergency Legislation to Keep Illegal Immigrant Families Together

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) is introducing emergency legislation to keep illegal immigrant families together. This means that President Trump's horrific separation of children from parents policy isn't even playing well in Texas, a major border state.

Cruz is up for reelection, in a tight race against upstart Democratic candidate Beto O’Rourke, and wouldn't be doing this if the emergency legislation wasn't polling well.

  1. First off, they are not necessarily families. This type of immigration fraud is old hat.
Second, the best way to keep the "family" together is to emigrate legally.
Third, why aren't they staying in the first state they get to when they are fleeing their "dangerous" countries? Because they are trying to get into the US, full stop. Everyone in the world is "fleeing violence" compared to Everytown, USA.

Wenzel is now officially cheering for an evil State Actor to Pass a Law to get Wenzel the result he wants--my tax dollars to pay for infiltrators (I use that word advisedly).

    1. Newton, aren't you officially cheering for an evil State Actor to Enforce a Law to get you the result you want -- my tax dollars to pay for your preferences?

I work toward the abolition of State laws. You and Wenzel like to tweak/add State laws to achieve your preferred ends.

Also, care to reply to anything substantive? You and Evan and RW only have snark on your side (as the posts and comments clearly illustrate). Do you realize that you are all acting exactly as the Lefitists do?

"Think of the children!" "You are racists!" "[Projection intensifies]"

It is difficult to have a useful debate with someone who uses increasingly vitriolic ad hominems, and who insists on attacking "straw men." These are both examples of intellectual sloth. Initially, somewhere, I thought you raised an interesting point or two, and I have tried to respond substantively to each of your posts. If, however, I have fallen short of your expectations in my responses, I apologize for wasting your time.

  2. Tom Dilorenzo states: "The Government is Separating Children from their Parents . . .
. . . every time it arrests and jails someone for DUI, drug possession, car theft, burglary, peeping tomism, murder, and all other crimes. For some strange reason the Lying Media Scum (LMS) and their dimwitted Hollywood comrades are pretending that this only happens when illegal aliens break our immigration laws (and then commit further crimes here, including violent ones). Not to mention how the Bush/Obama administration killed over half a million Muslims. Talk about family separation. This fact highlights what a buffoon Laura Bush is, who is in the news today condemning Trump for “separating families” by enforcing U.S. immigration law, a law that her husband took an oath to uphold and enforce."

But Tom is a Statist as we all know, and as Dr. Torres will soon inform us; and Tom is sick, as RW will soon remind us.

    1. Do you have any better reply than to insinuate racism or nativism? You guys are sounding like the juvenile leftists we all mock.

Care to reply substantively to my points? *crickets*

  5. We can only hope that the morons here who find this policy so horrible will be killed, raped, or anything else since they are oblivious to consequences of unchecked immigration. Yet, not a one of them will pay for these precious creatures out of their own pocket or move to those countries to promote their brand of libertardiannism.

Mass immigration of savages has been a failure everywhere its tried. But hey, 'gotta smash the state man'.

At least come up with your own lines.

    3. Yes Evan, you probably live in the whitest neighborhood so you don't have to be around 'duh-versity'. Like I said, I can only hope you will physically harmed by an illegal immigrant or exterminated in some way. The world would be better for it.

  6. This is all ridiculous. Apparently we should now roll over for anything that has the potential to "hurt the children". The hard Left have been pulling this scam for decades and now the Libertarians have jumped in hook line and sinker. For everything that anyone here claims "hurts the children" I can demonstrate how the reverse hurts even more children. So now public policy going forward will be based on who can force out the most tears.

    1. It’s perfectly valid to point out the many instances in which the state hurts children.

  7. RW,
You know how these families could be kept together without any new law being passed?

When the "family" arrives at the border and are told that they will be separated pending their hearing, they can say "Hey, we love each other, so we will -- instead of being separated -- return to our home country (or, if it is "too dangerous," then we will stay in Mexico where we should have stayed anyway based on asylum law)."

So literally no one is "forcing" families to separate.

And how about a series of posts on Americans being separated from their children pending trial (i.e., BEFORE they are even convicted of ANY crime -- remember that illegal border crossing is a crime, and multiple attempts is a felony!)?

No, we won't see that because Wenzel isn't principled, he just hates Trump. He goes the way of Jon Stewart on the Daily Show who was anti-State when Bush, then pro-State when Obama.
