Female Commie Wins in Iraq; Wants Social Justice


In the holy city of Najaf, the Iraqi Communist Party candidate, Suhad al-Khatib has won a parliament seat.

Khatib is a teacher, anti-poverty activist, women's rights activist and advocate for social justice.

Bottom line: The Frankfurt School influence has even penetrated into the Shi'ite world's spiritual capital, Najaf.  Ayatollah Khomeini lectured at the Najaf seminary from 1964 to 1978.

According to Middle East Eye, Katib ran on the Sairoun Alliance ticket, a coalition of supporters of the Shia cleric Muqtada al-Sadr and the Iraqi Communist Party, as well as the smaller Iraqi Republican Party.
