Former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani is joining President Donald Trump's legal team to help with defense in the wide-ranging Russia investigation, reports Politico.
Jay Sekulow, one of Trump's personal attorneys, confirmed the hire as well as the addition of two other lawyers, Jane Serene Raskin and Marty Raskin, former federal prosecutors who will also serve on Trump's legal team.
Well, Trump's a little late here. He should have named Giuliani, his crony buddy, attorney general at the start of his administration and there never would have been a special counsel. That said, Trump does need now the aggressive sharp madman that Giuliani is.
As for Rudy, no question he got a very large check up front to represent Trump.
