VIDEO Dad GOES OFF on Principal for Allowing 12-Year-Olds to Hold Gun Control Walkout

John Gunn is a father who confronted Barbara Boggio the principal at a Ventura Unified School District school who allowed 6th graders to walkout and protest in favor of gun controls.

He posted the confrontation on Facebook.

“I want to know who authorized these kids to go out and leave the class when I wasn't even notified about it,” he said to the school's principal.

She responded, “As our school planned for who and what, we anticipated something...”

Gunn interrupted asking, “6th graders? 6th graders? When do 6th graders make decisions?”

I like to see public schools harassed and, further, I wonder if the principal would have allowed students to protest if it was for a politically incorrect cause.

Schooling needs to be separated from the government. It should all be in the private sector.

  1. My kids (in junior high) have to have all sorts of signed permission-slips before even being allowed to go on a field trip (e.g. get on a chartered bus, go to the local Fire Dpt. station, or a local museum, etc). But yeah, it's absurd that a school will just wave them on as they exit to go march off down the street, to "protest."...

  2. She's probably telling the truth: no one gave explicit permission to the students. It was all implicit, no one challenged them verbally, they weren't warned or suspended. The students know they have the school authorities approval to walk out, and the teachers can "honestly" cover their namby-pamby asses.

  3. Rather than spend money on a lawyer, why doesn't he pull his kid out and homeschool him instead?
