This Was the CNN Headline: "Russian jet flies within 5 feet of US Navy plane"

What the headline didn't tell you was that the US Navy plane was flying in the Baltic Sea region. That is, in the backyard of Russia, where it had no business.

Capt. Pamela Kunze, a spokesperson for US Naval Forces Europe told CNN:
This interaction was determined to be unsafe due to the SU-27 closing to within five feet and crossing directly through the EP-3's flight path, causing the EP-3 to fly through the SU-27's jet wash.
CNN's US military apologist John Kirby said the Russian jet's action was "Inexcusable, provocative & potentially fatal." No, provocative would be a Russian jet flying over South Beach Miami, not in its backyard.

  1. Lolbertarians: all borders are arbitrary lines on a map and are illegitimate and people should flood into the USA.

Also lolbertarians: the USA should respect the borders of other countries.

    1. Have the apartheidists really become so unhinged that they’re now equating the US military with a migrant worker?

    2. Many people thank the military for its “service” yet look with scorn, if they even see, the people building our cities, cutting our grass, and growing our food. If only the US military were actually invisible like lines on a map, rather than just its many evil and provocative deeds.

    3. @Paul Hansen Do you not think the US military should respect your property and life? By provoking a foreign state they are showing total disregard for both. I dont think they should be risking your life like that.

Also, go find Adam Kokesh's and Stefan Molyneux's recent podcast about the welfare state vs. border as "the problem". I think you would like it. Does a good job of outlining The real politic and nuanced philosophical problems you are getting at with the immigratiom debate.

    4. Paul, the US military is as illegitimate as the US border control. We can advocate against both at the same time.

  2. This story reminds me about the amusing quip that you can tell how aggressive the Russians are by the fact that they keep putting their borders so close to US military bases.
