BREAKING Trump Plans to Release JFK Assassination Files

President Trump announced this morning that he plans to release the tens of thousands of never-before-seen documents left in the files related to President John F. Kennedy’s assassination held by the National Archives and Records Administration.

“Subject to the receipt of further information, I will be allowing, as President, the long blocked and classified JFK FILES to be opened,” Trump tweeted.

But in typical Trump fashion the tweet, Trump seemed to strongly imply he was going to release all the remaining documents, but he also hedged, suggesting that if between now and Oct. 26, other government agencies made a strong case not to release the documents, he wouldn’t. Also, Trump was not clear about whether he would publish all of the documents in full, or with some of them redacted.

  1. If, as many speculate, the JFK hit was an inside job, Trump's releasing all documents, unredacted, could be a valuable form of self-protection.

  2. While I strongly suspect the assassination was the work of CIA spooks loyal to an ousted, and thus humiliated and angry, Allen Dulles, I doubt those Dulles partisans logged minutes of their meetings.

  3. The files will be as complete as a BMW left alone in the south side of Chicago for 60 years.
