Welcome to the People's Republic of San Francisco

File under: The government will protect us.

A police cruiser parked in San Francisco early Monday was damaged after someone appeared to throw a bathroom sink into the vehicle's back window.

The San Francisco Police Department patrol car was parked near 24th and Mission Streets, just steps away from a homicide investigation. It is unclear if the apparent act of vandalism was connected to the nearby police activity.

  1. They were mad that the sink was in a men's room rather than a gender-neutral one.

  2. Looks like they were trying to sink the cruiser.

  3. 24th and Mission... is that near the India Basin?

  4. They had to have thrown some other items first, right?

  5. The cops were investigating money laundering.
