Willie Nelson Urges Jeff Sessions To Smoke Some Pot

The 84-year-old County Music Hall of Famer, Willie Nelson, has some advice for Attorney General Jeff Sessions, who said marijuana is only “slightly less awful” than heroin.

“I wonder if he’s tried both of them. I don’t think you can really make a statement like that unless you tried it all. So I’d like to suggest to Jeff to try it and then let me know later if he thinks he’s still telling the truth!” he told Rolling Stone.

He has his own brand of marijuana, Willie’s Reserve, for sale where it’s legal

He also shared his thoughts on President Trump.
I knew him back when he owned some casinos, and I worked for him,He always paid me. I had no problems at all.
Nelson said he’s come close to running for office himself, “and then I sobered up.”

Here's Willie in "Roll Me Up and Smoke Me Whan I Die":

And to be clear, he is not dead yet:

  1. The only people who think marijuana is a dangerous drug are those who never tried it and, in all likelihood, don't actually know anyone who uses it. It's hard to keep people afraid of something when you just have to try it once to understand how harmless it is. I'm sure that Sessions either drinks alcohol or takes a prescription drug, both of which are far more hazardous to health than pot.

  2. Good advice, Willie! Of course Sessions won't take it: he's an arrogant idiot who thinks he's qualified to run others' lives from a position of complete ignorance. Stopping people like him will probably require more than words of advice.

  3. For all we know, Sessions could smoke pot, take cocaine, or anything. I doubt it, but he is an elitist, and we serfs must be managed, the elite can and do whatever they want. Who will stop them?

  4. I live in Alaska, marijuana has been legalized for commercialization now. It has been "legal" to grow and consume it for personal use for several years, based on a Alaska Supreme Court ruling. I know several folks, who have backing to start commercial grow operations, they have outside money (lower 48, outside of Alaska) willing to back them to the tune of hundreds of thousands of $, but they haven't pulled the trigger on it yet because they are afraid of the Trump administration raiding them, despite the new State law. In other words, they are scared of Sessions.

  5. Of course smoking weed and anal sex are now seen as the paragon of freedom within the libertarian party.

    1. You misspelled "Doing what you please with your own body."

  6. Sessions may have, in affect, taken heroin in the form of the pharmaceutical Oxycodone and other legally prescribed opioids.
