Robert Reich's Inside Take on Current Thinking in Washington D.C.

Robert Reich‏ is a hardcore lefty but his assessment of the current thinking in Washington D.C. seems spot on.

He writes:

I spent much of this week in DC – talking w/ friends, former colleagues, pundits, and members of Congress in both parties. My verdict:

The most interesting takeaway for me is Reich's claim that almost everyone on the Hill considers Ryan's replacement bill for Obamacare dumb. It is dumb!

    2. He nails it, but his solution is more govt. intervention: for example, higher minimum wage, and higher taxes on the income and capital gains of the wealthy, however that wealth was acquired, whether on the open market or through political privilege.

  5. I personally would like some more insight on number 7. Yes there is the pension problem that is looming (some state governments are already feeling it) but what else. Does Reich actually think Trump is going to reduce government? If anything the enforcement class (which are also civil servants) are going to get all that money cut from other government departments.
