Fox News Pulls Judge Napolitano Off the Air

Fox News senior judicial analyst Judge Andrew Napolitano is being kept off the air indefinitely amid the controversy over his unverified claims that British intelligence wiretapped Trump Tower at the behest of former President Obama, reports Stephen Battaglio at The Los Angeles Times.

Notes Battaglio:
Napolitano was conspicuously missing from the network’s coverage of the confirmation hearings on Supreme Court nominee Neil Gorsuch — an event in which he typically would have played a significant role. He has not been on the air since Thursday.

People familiar with the situation who could speak only on the condition of anonymity said Napolitano is not expected to be on Fox News Channel any time in the near future.

  2. He made 2 mistakes, he didn't follow the establishment line and he was wrong in what he thought was going to happen.

  3. Did the judge ever say anything like this?: "unverified claims that British intelligence wiretapped Trump Tower at the behest of former President Obama".

    I thought he said this:

The NSA has given GCHQ full 24/7 access to its computers, so GCHQ -- a foreign intelligence agency that, like the NSA, operates outside our constitutional norms -- has the digital versions of all electronic communications made in America in 2016, including Trump’s. So by bypassing all American intelligence services, Obama would have had access to what he wanted with no Obama administration fingerprints.

Thus, when senior American intelligence officials denied that their agencies knew about this, they were probably being truthful. Adding to this ominous scenario is the fact that three days after Trump’s inauguration, the head of GCHQ, Robert Hannigan, abruptly resigned, stating that he wished to spend more time with his family.

I hope the investigations of Trump’s allegation discover and reveal the truth -- whatever it is. But the lesson here is terribly serious.

We face the gravest threat to personal liberty since the Alien and Sedition Acts of 1798 proscribed criticism of the government.

What he is saying is that the NSA "wiretaps" everyone everyday all of the time AND they hand it all over to the U.K. government on a platter. Obama could get a transcript from them without leaving a U.S. paper trail. That all seems to me about 8,257x worse than whether Obama personally actually ordered a transcript for himself from the U.K.

  4. I think the following offer was made by the Deep State to Trump: accept our denial of your claims that Obama surveilled you illegally (because they/he did just like they do to every other American as Judge Nap described) and we will make a determination at a later date that there is nothing to the fabricated Russia hacked the election/you're a Russian agent narrative. Throwing Judge Nap under the bus must've been a condition of the deal.

  5. The scaled-cat response gives pretty good evidence that whatever he said was accurate to a great extent.
