CNN reports that the ATF is looking to "beef up" federal presence in Chicago, just a week after Trump threatened to "send in the feds."
ATF is a good cover for Trump rather than sending in troops. Like I have said, Trump is a clever authoritarian who thinks outside the box.
It is at first a small additional presence but I expect it to increase. Also expect more DEA agents in the area.

The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives is looking to transfer approximately 20 agents to Chicago in an effort to "beef up" the federal presence in the city, two federal law enforcement officials told CNN Friday.
The additional agents will form a new task force, which the ATF referred to in internal documents as the "Chicago Crime Guns Strike Force" in an effort to stem the city's gun violence...Two law enforcement officials tell CNN that ATF headquarters in Washington sent out a bulletin to field offices around the country on Wednesday looking for agents to volunteer for permanent transfer to the Chicago area.
One official said it's unusual to ask for permanent relocation in reaction to a specific problem. Typically, it would just be a surge of agents for 30 to 60 days.
There are currently more than 40 agents assigned to the Chicago area, so the surge would increase that force to more than 60 agents.

I just read that Steve Bannon has an obsession with the book the The Fourth Turning, and that Trump is Bannon's blunt instrument in a global war with Islam or anything that moves. Now in a effort to hasten the bloodbath of the Fourth Turning, "The Trump Family" is going to name neocon emeritus lord of darkness, Elliott Abrams to Deputy Secretary of State. This move is equivalent to naming a convicted serial killer as principal of an all girls school.
ReplyDeleteI swear, a lot of us will not survive the stealthily obscured rabbit hole the Trump and Kushner families always intended to drag us through. Trump has to be the biggest con ever perpetrated on the American public in my lifetime. The tragedy is compounded by the fact that a lot of people believe Trump was raised up by God to save this country.
