Tyler Cowen on Black Lives Matter

Without discussing the fact that the problems with the black situation revolve around government central planning of the black life, Tyler Cowen takes on the topic of Black Lives Matter and leaves us hanging.

His horrific comment suggests that the pro-government Black Lives Matter movement somehow makes sense when it is the policy desires of BLM that will continue to push many blacks to the substandard edge of modern America life.

From the leftist nonsense at the Black Lives Matter website:
We are committed to disrupting the Western-prescribed nuclear family structure requirement by supporting each other as extended families and “villages” that collectively care for one another, and especially “our” children to the degree that mothers, parents and children are comfortable.
Cowen's closing comment:
“Black Lives Matter” is a large movement, if that is the proper word for it, and you can find many objectionable statements, alliances, and political views within it.  I don’t mean to endorse those, but at its essence I see this as a libertarian idea to be admired and promoted.
He can only make such a statement by claiming that for the most part BLM is a movement against police brutality. It is not. It is a movement for lefty nonsense shrouded in the cover of protest of police shootings regardless of the actual circumstances of the shootings.

A Black Lives Matter movement that actually understood the problems within the black community would be objecting to government education, minimum wages laws and anti-drug laws.

  1. Look at BLM and then contemplate the possibility of a stateless society when there are tens of millions of people with no respect for your property or your life, and actually enjoy impinging on such.

    1. That's right, and that's why Trump has converted a huge part of Ron Paul's base from pure libertarianism to a libertarian-flavored Trumpism. Naturally the pure libertarians are none too pleased with this. I give Lew Rockwell a lot of credit for a fair take on Trump at his site without compromising his lifelong principles.
