REPORT: Trump Doesn't Want to Use the Phrase "Drain the Swamp" Anymore

A leader of Donald Trump’s transition says the president-elect is no longer interested in his catch phrase “drain the swamp.”

 Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich said his understanding is that Trump “now just disclaims that. He now says it was cute, but he doesn’t want to use it anymore.” Gingrich made the remark in an interview that aired Wednesday on National Public Radio.

Now that he is running the swamp, that is.

    This must be a recent decision because Trump showed little hesitation using the phrase on his "Thank You Tour". Or one could simply dismiss it as fake news regardless of the source using Occam's razor.
