Trump has Selected Nikki Haley to be US Ambassador to the UN

President-elect Donald Trump has picked South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley to be the US ambassador to the United Nations, according to multiple reports.

Little is known about her foreign policy views but she appears a perfect statist.

Haley led bi-partisan calls for the removal of the Confederate flag from the State Capitol and its grounds. In July 2015 Haley signed a Bill to authorize removing the Confederate flag from the flagpole on the grounds of the South Carolina Capitol.

In April 2016, Haley indicated she would not support legislation introduced by the South Carolina State Senate which would require transgender individuals to use restrooms based on biological sex instead of gender identity.

Haley signed a law cracking down on illegal immigration in June 2011.

  1. As a South Carolina resident, I'm glad to see her go while dreading her replacement at the same time.

    1. The silver lining is that this move might force Hugh Leatherman to the Lt. Guv spot, which would disrupt a major corruption/power center.(for a bit at least)

This makes McMaster's support of Trump look brilliant. (don't know if he intended it or not)

  2. Whatever "law" she signed against illegal immigrants is a joke. There are about 40% illegal aliens in the home building industry in the Hilton Head area where I live. Haley is horrible though. Most everything she does is posturing. Nothing she does has any measurable effect on anything. She is a big fat fake player.
