The 12 Senate Races That Will Decide Which Party Controls the Senate Next Year

This post will be updated throughout the night. 

To win control of the Senate, Democrats need to net plus five seats (four if Hillary wins.)

Arizona             (current Republican) Republican Richard Shelby wins
California          (current Democrat) Democrat Kamala Harris wins
Florida              (current Republican) Republican Marco Rubio wins.
Illinois               (current Republican) Democrat Tammy Duckworth wins.
Indiana              (current Republican) NBC projects Republican Todd Young Wins
Missouri            (current Republican) Republican Roy Blunts
Nevada              (current Democrat) Democrat Catherine Cortez Masto
New Hampshire (current Republican) Democrat Maggie Hassan
Ohio                  (current Republican) CNN projects Rob Portman will retain his seat.
North Carolina   (current Republican) ABC projects Republican Richard Burr wins.
Pennsylvania      (current Republican) Republican Pat Toomey wins
Wisconsin          (current Republican) Republican Ron Johnson is projected to defeat Democrat Russ Feingold, a massive upset 

In total 34 states have senate races this year.
