More Proof Libertarian Party Candidate Gary Johnson is a Buffoon

Daily Beast reports
Introducing a “lightning round” during Wednesday evening’s Libertarian town hall on MSNBC Wednesday night, host Chris Matthews said, “This is where we have fun, and maybe make some news.” Third-party candidate Gary Johnson ended up doing the latter of the two when he was asked who his favorite world leader is and drew a complete blank. Johnson’s running mate, Bill Weld, attempted to save him by jumping in to name recently deceased former Israeli Prime Minister Shimon Peres as his favorite, but Matthews wouldn’t let Johnson off the hook, asking him to name any foreign leader who is currently alive. “Any continent, Canada, Mexico, Europe, Asia, South America, Africa, name a foreign leader that you respect,” Matthews implored.
“I guess I’m having an Aleppo moment,” Johnson said..
Of course, as a representative of the Libertarian Party, he could have just said "I don't respect any foreign leaders. They are all interventionists  and the expansion of government and I am for shrinking government."

What a clown.

And. his sidekick Weld didn't help any by using the opportunity to hug Israel and eventually come up with the great Syrian statist importer Angela Merkel.

There have been some bad Libertarian Party candidates but nothing close to these clueless opportunists.

  1. Without any real philosophical basis, he cannot distinguish himself from any of the major candidates.

  2. I rather vote for Gary than Trump who scams small business and Hillary who is in love with policing the world.

  3. So utterly disappointing. This election is like a huge softball being thrown right over the plate at the LP and Johnson isn't even standing in the batter's box... I just saw an article on NYT about how millenials are disappointed with the two major parties and many are considering 3rd parties. Huge opportunity to really educate these young people and inspire them about libertarian principles and we've got this uninspiring buffoon Johnson... If Ron Paul were ten years younger and running on the LP he might come close to actually winning.

  4. His mind is clouded and confused by years of pot smoking.

  5. The Detroit News just endorsed Johnson for President. Their editorial page has been about as pro-free market as any for the past 35 years.
