Hillary Clinton told an audience of donors Friday night that half of Donald Trump's supporters fall into "the basket of deplorables," reports CNN.
"To just be grossly generalistic, you can put half of Trump supporters into what I call the basket of deplorables," Clinton said. "Right? Racist, sexist, homophobic, xenophobic, Islamaphobic, you name it."
She added, "And unfortunately, there are people like that and he has lifted them up. He has given voice to their websites that used to only have 11,000 people, now have 11 million. He tweets and retweets offensive, hateful, mean-spirited rhetoric."
Let's assume for a moment that they are, so what? The problem is the state that attempts to set rules beyond the non-aggression principle. Racism, sexism, homophobia, xenophobia, Islamaphobia would have no power in a country that respected NAP.
Haters could hate in their own homes, I think it is goofy to do so, but why is this the focus? The focus needs to be on the power of the state which can force people to observe the views of some over others. Shrink the state!
