Republican Convention Night Two: There Is Hope For Donald Trump Jr.

Republican Convention Night two saw Paul Ryan give a boring speech. My mind wandered about half way through it.

Chris Christie gave a rollicking jury presentation of the criminal Hillary Clinton. (The RNC crowd at the convention found her guilty on all counts.)

And Tiffany Trump,daughter of Donald with wife number two, gave an impressive speech for a 22-year-old.

I cheered when Ben Carson closed the night by pointing out that Hillary Clinton's mentor Saul Alinsky quotes Lucifer in the introduction to his book, Rules for Radicals. The inspirations of these psychopaths should be exposed. I wonder what Trump has on his nightstand?

But Donald Trump Jr. was the speaker who made me sit up and take notice.

Judging by the speech he gave, he clearly has a free market streak. It was difficult to tell if it is just crony Republican establishment "free market" views or something more substantive. He is far from hardcore. For example, he either doesn't understand free market trade or was just trying to help his father out when he brought up his father's abilities and how they will help improve workers here in America who are losing jobs overseas.

But there is some hope for Donald Jr. The curiosity and interest in free markets are there and, keep in mind, we didn't all start by reading Murray Rothbard.
