While minding my own business at the Starbucks inside the Westin hotel this morning, I saw a man engage Trump campaign manager Paul Manafort in conversation about the VP selection process. The man, whom I couldn't identify, suggested that Pence was a smart pick and Gingrich would've been a disaster. This proves that Christie is more delusional than even I thought. With bridgegate, and I hear another developing scandal, there is no way Donald Trump was going to pick him as the VP. Rand Paul had a better chance.
"Christie was livid, right?" the man said at one point. "Yeah," Manafort replied.
Dan Quayle junior was the perfect strategic pick for a guy like Trump who has no deep political/philosophical principles.
