Manafort Confirms Christie Was 'Livid' He Wasn't Picked To Be Trump's VP

John McCormak of the Weekly Standard reports:
While minding my own business at the Starbucks inside the Westin hotel this morning, I saw a man engage Trump campaign manager Paul Manafort in conversation about the VP selection process. The man, whom I couldn't identify, suggested that Pence was a smart pick and Gingrich would've been a disaster.

"Christie was livid, right?" the man said at one point. "Yeah," Manafort replied.
This proves that Christie is more delusional than even I thought. With bridgegate, and I hear another developing scandal, there is no way Donald Trump was going to pick him as the VP. Rand Paul had a better chance.

Dan Quayle junior was the perfect strategic pick for a guy like Trump who has no deep political/philosophical principles.

  1. Pence is the smater pick. Not as well known and when he first became a congressman of he did quiute a good job in standing up to DC then blew that by going along with heath insurance lobbyists pushing Obamacare, but nobody will mention that only his "Deep Conservatism" which will convince the base to remain in the two party joke of a corrupt system

  2. When Christie hitched his wagon to Trump, and in so doing bet his political career on this horse, surely nothing less than sitting pretty in the stagecoach was the end that Christie had in mind.
