It Looks Like Pence Will Be Trump's VP

A Donald Trump campaign stop in Indiana scheduled for Tuesday is raising speculation that the presumptive Republican nominee will announce Gov. Mike Pence as his running mate.
The Washington Times reported Sunday evening that Pence has a “95 percent probability” of being Trump's choice, according to sources close to the campaign and to the governor...
Trump has said he will make an announcement before the Republican National Convention, which begins in a week on July 18. Pence, who is seeking reelection to a second term as governor, would have to withdraw from that contest by noon on July 15 if he’s going to run as Trump’s vice president.
So who is Mike Pence?

A typical central planiing monster politician, who had endorsed warmonger Ted Cruz during the primaries.

Pence supported the joint resolution authorizing military action against Iraq.

During the war, he opposed setting a public withdrawal date from Iraq.

He has opposed closing the Guantanamo Bay detention camp and trying the suspected terrorists in the U.S.

He has stated his support of Israel and its right to attack facilities in Iran to prevent them from developing nuclear weapons, has defended the actions of Israel in its use of deadly force in enforcing the blockade of Gaza, and has referred to Israel as "America's most cherished ally".

Pence is an advocate of federal restrictions of online gambling. In 2006, he and 34 others members of the House cosponsored H.R. 4411, the Goodlatte-Leach Internet Gambling Prohibition Act, and H.R. 4777, the Internet Gambling Prohibition Act.

In June 2006, Pence unveiled a plan he described as "no amnesty immigration reform", consisting of increased border security, followed by strict enforcement of laws against hiring illegal aliens.

How insane is he? Trumpian insane:

On January 26, 2015 it was widely reported that Pence had planned to launch a state-run, taxpayer funded news service for Indiana. The service, called "JustIN" was to be overseen by a former reporter for the Indianapolis Star, and would feature breaking news, stories written by press secretaries, and light features. At the time, it was reported that the two employees who would run the news service would be paid a combined $100,000 yearly salary.

  1. What's the old cliche'? Given a year or so, the new president will make you miss the last one, no matter how bad the last one was.
