Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton are trying to out to do each other by considering high-ranking former military men for their respective VP slots.
NYT reports that Hillary Clinton's campaign is vetting retired Navy Adm. James Stavridis,
The vetting was confirmed by NBC News. NBC correspondent Andrea Mitchell reported that Stavridis has met with James Hamilton, a Washington lawyer leading Clinton's vetting process.
Stavridis served as the 15th Commander, U.S. European Command and NATO's 16th Supreme Allied Commander Europe.
At the start of the "Global War on Terror", he was selected as the director of the Navy Operations Group, Deep Blue, USA.
