Brace Yourselves Libertarian Trump Fanboys

Donald Trump plans to roll out names of potential cabinet members, The Huffington Post reports.

"I think that Trump is going to name a prospective cabinet and there is of course a way to do this in a way that is perfectly legal," Trump ally Roger Stone said during an interview set to air Sunday night on the "Aaron Klein Investigative Radio."

"Because technically of course to promise someone a federal job is a crime so Trump could theoretically say, ‘For CIA Director I would appoint General Mike Flynn or someone like him.’"

According to The Huffington Post, Trump wants to name Christie his attorney general. Lt. Gen. Mike Flynn, who was also rumored as a potential vice presidential pick for Trump, may be floated to serve as defense secretary.

  1. Oh no! I guess I better support Hillary! I'm sure glad you are here to keep reminding me that Hillary is better. I'm sure Hillary's staff would be much more acceptable to me.... oh wait.. I don't give a crap who is on their staff. Trump gets the vote (if I decide to leave the house on election day) because Hillary is a known evil. You can say whatever you want about Trump, we don't really give a shit. Nobody is pretending we are electing Murray Rothbard. It's Donald Trump. A business man who has never held public office. Makes for a much more interesting 4 years than Hillary would. Plus, he doesn't have a track record full of evil only what we assume he might do.

    1. "We don't really give a #$%^"
      Then why the post?

Unlike many Libertarian Trump Fanboys, no libertarian critic of Trump has said Hillary is a non-interventionist and wants to end NATO. This writer for Lew Rockwell and The Mises Institute goes further with such fantasy:

"For libertarians, it should be a pretty easy choice—Trump is for the gold standard, for low taxes, for a non-interventionist foreign policy; he is also against what he calls “the manufactured climate change hoax” and government broadcasting. He has promised to repeal Obamacare, keep the Second Amendment intact, and appoint conservative judges to the Supreme Court—his list of eleven candidates is pretty impressive."

    2. My point was that no matter what is said about Trump, his picks for VP, his staff, etc, "we" don't give a shit. The "we" I'm referring to is the huge number of people I know who are supporters of Trump simply because he is not Hillary. The "we don't give a shit" comment is obviously in the context of what people are saying/writing about Trump.
We can read and investigate all we want on Trump, the fact remains that the evil that Hillary has done spans decades. How many people has Trump killed?

    3. How many people has almost any US President killed before taking office? How many US wars and bombings of other countries has Trump opposed in his long life?

  2. If Hillary becomes president she will try to do to America what Merkel has done to Germany. Trump will not. Yeah Trump is bad, but at worst he will be the same as his predecessors. On some things he may well be better. I can understand libertarians being against Trump but it doesn't make sense to be hysterical about it. I don't think that it's true that Trump is more dangerous than Hillary because he can rally the masses. He can rally a portion of the masses but he is extremely polarising. The other portion of the masses have a visceral hatred towards him and see him as the next Hitler. The media hate him. He will be viewed with suspicion and paranoia. Wouldn't that be a positive? And, with the utmost respect, I think that it's a bit unfair to refer to as "fanboys" great libertarians like Walter Block, Ralph Raico, Ilana Mercer, Tom Dilorenzo, and Lew Rockwell. If the term "fanboy" is directed only at people like me who comment on your site then fine, but to my knowledge you haven't made that distinction.

  4. We should be trying to find an Austrian LP candidate for 2020. The GOP will always be the War Party.
