Trump on Vince Foster's Death: ‘Very Fishy’

Donald Trump resurrected a conspiracy theory from Bill Clinton’s presidency that his wife, Democrat Hillary Clinton, was involved in the death of Vince Foster, deputy White House counsel in the Clinton administration.

Foster was diagnosed with depression and multiple investigations have ruled his 1993 death a suicide, but Trump called the circumstances surrounding his death “very fishy” and the lasting allegations of foul play in some circles “very serious” in a  WaPo story published Monday night.

“He had intimate knowledge of what was going on,” Trump told WaPo about Foster’s relationship with the Clintons before his death. “He knew everything that was going on, and then all of a sudden he committed suicide.”

Trump also said about Hillary Clinton: “It’s the one thing with her, whether it’s Whitewater or whether it’s Vince or whether it’s Benghazi. It’s always a mess with Hillary.”

He then added, “I don’t bring [Foster’s death] up because I don’t know enough to really discuss it. I will say there are people who continue to bring it up because they think it was absolutely a murder. I don’t do that because I don’t think it’s fair.”

  1. Trump's got to be careful here. Hillary is very good at the pity-party, and the Foster case is too thin. It allows her to play pitiful in front of the cameras with Trump opening old wounds on the "death of her friend".

The "Hillary doesn't protect women. Look at how she covered for Bill." is a far safer play.
