The House the Obama's Will Live in After They Leave the White HOuse

    1. Truly. When the wolf is at the door and says "little pig, little pig let me come in", the little pig inside can confidently say (because his house is made of brick) "not by the hair of my chinny chin chin". But of course these days the wolf has other means than the wind in his lungs to bring the house down.

    2. I can't really agree on the taste issue. This seems like a house trying to be a faux-castle, but the things to make it look like a castle seem pretty cheap-looking (that doesn't mean it actually is cheap -- I doubt that it is). The inside is very "hard-angle". The kitchen looks really uncomfortable. The inside is all cookie-cutter white. I would pass on this house even if I had the money to buy it.

    3. White is "in" for the design world right now. It's not "cookie-cutter", I promise. The whites are in varying shades and textures, and the effects created are really cool.

The interior design is actually very nice, but I'm biased because it looks eerily like my own 2015 home.

The issue is that my home's exterior matches the interior, whereas Obama's Tudor castle with a white modern interior is just jarring. It should be more dramatic with the original brick outer walls, ironwork, reds, etc.

    1. Yep, the Caesar's palace scene was great too, especially the intro as Dom Deluise enters:

Mel should have been a libertarian. Maybe with a little prodding he could be.

  3. So, what's the Presidential salary, again? $400K? I presume there's a pension, but jeepers! guess those book advances must have been hefty.
