More Indications of a Push for Marine General James "Mad Dog" Mattis as a Presidential Nominee

I have already posted twice on a seeming establishment push to make Marine General James "Mad Dog" Mattis a presidential nominee, either as a third party candidate if Trump gains the Republican nomination or as the Republican nominee in a brokered convention. SEE: The Establishment Makes Its Move: Promotes Retired Marine General as a Third Party Candidate and REPORT Secret Movement By Republican Billionaires to Make Former Marine General Mattis the President.

Now, we have the first indication that top neocon barker, Bill Kristol, likes the Mad Dog. Kristol tweeted out the news that a dead man supported Mattis for president:

The female warmonger, Rebeccah Heinrichs, also tweeted support for Mad Dog:

In support of Mattis in a Republican brokered convention, she made clear that Hillary and Obama are not warmonger enough (emphasis in original):
President Obama’s tepid warfighting, his (and Hillary Clinton’s) inability to even utter the name of our foes, let alone their motives, his emotionless responses after horrific acts of terror, and his satisfaction with loserdom against a winnable foe have left a bulk of the American citizenry yearning for a strong leader who is unwilling to lose...

[A]s a recently retired general, he testified before the Congress and said, “Specifically, if this threat to our nation is determined to be as significant as I believe it is, we may not wish to reassure our enemies in advance that they will not see American ‘boots on the ground’…If a brigade of our paratroopers or a battalion landing team of our Marines would strengthen our allies at a key juncture and create havoc/humiliation for our adversaries, then we should do what is necessary with our forces that exist for that very purpose.”

Catch that? Strengthen our allies and humiliate our adversaries. These objectives seem to have been underappreciated during the Bush years and inversely pursued during the Obama years.

  1. As someone posted earlier, "Where's Smedley Butler when ya need 'im?".
I suppose they're going to try to sell him as another Eisenhower. But Ike was an administrator, a manager. This clown is a stone killer. I can see a lot of the pro - Trump bumpkins ("Trumpkins"?) going for this guy, unfortunately. "Let's go and kick some towel-head ass!!".
If this guy runs and wins, at least we won't be a banana republic anymore. We won't be NO kinda republic.
And look on the bright side, maybe we can all be "raptured" when Armageddon comes. The closest I'll get to "rapture" is when my hernia blows out (think about it).

  2. Serious Question: If the neocons do get another man in the race, wouldn't it be quite the task to get them on the ballot on all 50 states and territories in the short amount of time? I remember seeing Rainmondo tweet something to that affect last month.

    1. Rockwell had a interesting piece on ballot access a few days ago: https://www.lewrockwell.com/political-theatre/can-trump-run-without-gop/

I would think it would be possible for the states to change their rules but how probable that would be I have no idea.

    2. True, given how both parties put tons of road blocks for third parties that wouldn't surprise me. I remember how both Obama and McCain failed to make the ballot in Texas in 2008 but Barr failed to capitalize on it.
