Trump to Skip GOP Debate for Pro-Israel Conference

Donald Trump announced this morning that he will not attend the recently scheduled Republican primary debate set for Monday.

“Nobody told me about the debate,” said Trump during his phone interview on Fox & Friends, revealing that a longstanding commitment — a speech to what he estimates is to “eight or nine thousand people” on the night of March 21 — is preventing him from attending.

The network announced the debate on Monday. Fox News anchors Bret Baier, Megyn Kelly and Chris Wallace are set to moderate the event, which Fox has announced will take place in Utah at the Salt Lake Convention Center.

“Would you consider reconsidering?” asked host Brian Kilmeade.

“You hit me with it yesterday… so I’m not going to do the debate,” said Trump.

Instead, Trump will speak at the pro-Israel AIPAC conference in Washington D.C. on Monday night.

  2. And that's the sound of ratings crashing for a Cruz-Kasich snooze fest.
