Target Liberty Columnist Elected Chair of Travis County, Texas GOP

Congratulations to Robert Morrow, occasional Target Liberty and EPJ contributor, for winning the Travis County, Texas GOP chairmanship. The county includes the Texas Capitol.

The establishment, of course, is in an uproar.

"We will explore every single option that exists, whether it be persuading him to resign, trying to force him to resign, constraining his power, removing his ability to spend money or resisting any attempt for him to access data or our social media account,”  vice chair Matt Mackowiak told the Texas Tribune. “I’m treating this as a coup and as a hostile takeover.”

“Tell them they can go fuck themselves,” Robert responded to the Tribune.

“The people have spoken,” Robert, who won  with 54 percent of the vote, told The Tribune. “My friends and neighbors and political supporters — they wanted Robert Morrow.”

Morrow was elected with more than 25,000 votes — 6,000 more than his one challenger, the incumbent chair James Dickey.

“The Republican Party, I would hope, is about limited government with a libertarian perspective,” Morrow said. “But it’s a big tent, and there are many factions in it, and that’s okay with me.”

Morrow did not spend much time campaigning for the position he now holds.

“I didn’t spend one penny,” he said. “I barely asked anyone to vote for me.”

Morrow will assume his party post in June.

Robert co-authored with Roger Stone The Clintons' War on Women. He is absolutely fearless in taking on the establishment and establishment politicians, both the right and the left. His research is meticulous.

  1. Here's the link to the Texas Tribune article.

  2. Congrats to Mr. Morrow and to his brief, to-the-point response toward his sore-losing detractors.

Note well the "we" pronoun used in Mr. Mackowiak's words when he mentions the nefarious ways "they" will try and stop this duly elected official. When it comes to underhanded tactics, the plural is often used. Tolstoy warned against "the decisions of men united in councils as more important and more sacred than reason and conscience; on that day began lies". "We" is used to deflect any personal guilt that may present itself.

There's a fine article by Leonard E. Read on this subject found here:
