Bernie Sanders' Thursday night rally at the Chicago State University took an unexpected turn when a woman attempted to jump on stage and charge the Vermont senator, reports The Washington Examiner.
According to WE, Sanders had been rallying the crowd for 45 minutes when a woman got too close to him. Sanders, visibly concerned about his safety, stopped talking. A member of Sanders' Secret Service jumped next to him, putting his arm in front of the politician to shield him.
The woman was seen being taken away from the stage and out of the main venue.
