Petition To Impeach Kentucky Governor Matt Bevin Initiated

A petition at Change.org has been launched asking the Kentucky State Senate to remove Kentucky Governor Matt Bevin from office.

The petition specifically references budget cuts at the committees for ethics investigations and elections  but comments under the petition indicate that signers of the petition are unhappy with many of Bevin's cuts:
I receive medical care in Kentucky and I believe that medical decisions are best made with someone who went to medical school. His archaic ideas about energy sources, education, equal rights...he needs to go!

Without the ACA and Kynect, my ability to get medical insurance is non-existant due to my pre-existing heart condition. He's trying to delete the one thing that has statistically been a success in this start for clearly political purposes. I'll not be hostage to a Tea Party thug.

Matt Bevin is destroying Kentucky by taking away our healthcare, defunding education and trampling all over women's rights.

Of course, Bevin is only cutting at the edges of Kentucky government. though, he is still better than any other US governor. Thus, I would only be in favor of his impeachment if he was replaced by his brother Stuart, who is an EPJ and Target Liberty reader and who really knows how to cut government.

  1. The left is really into the "squeaky wheel" theory. Unfortunately, it works. I hope he hangs tough. Maybe if they get called out enough it'll stir up some blow back amongst the sleeping multitudes.

  2. We need public support to cut government spending.

  3. My wife was on the track team with Matt Bevin at Washington & Lee, apparently he's a ridiculously nice guy. I guess he has a ton of kids too, adopted some of them & homeschools.

He's ripe for the liberty movement...maybe Stuart can do a Cass Sunstein on him and nudge him even further in our direction.

In a weird way if they bounce him out they'll be doing him a favor.

  4. Public support will not come until there are numerous government defaults happening. This "support" will happen only because the public will be given ultimatums at all government levels of something similar to either we pay the public pensions of the lesser numbers of public retirees or we pay all of the greater numbers their social security.

The political pressure of the voter blowback coming from any penny cut will increase if another recession hits.

Will any attempt to cut budgets ever be received well? Is cutting one political issue at time better than broad % cuts across the board? It will be interesting to see how it plays out. But one of the first Governors trying cuts in programs and budgets then being impeached will only delay the number of attempts or lessen the amount cut by other political figures.

  5. Well, this is priceless:

"I receive medical care in Kentucky and I believe that medical decisions are best made with someone who went to medical school. His archaic ideas about energy sources, education, equal rights...he needs to go!

So, someone in Indiana wants the Kentucky governor impeached because she (I presume) thinks medical decisions should be made by people who went to medical school?

How many folks in government that make "medical decisions" especially related to medicare/medicaid went to medical school? Almost none?

  6. "I want him OUT of my bed and my vagina!

Sounds like Bevin could be charged with rape, although I find it odd he would allow his victim to actively post on the internet while assaulting her.

  7. This creep is not looking out for Kentucky. He's looking out for his Alec masters. A puppet of the Koch's! He's gotta go. I don't like him suing planned parenthood or trying to defund education and everything else he's doing! Our elections were fixed. Fraud should be investigated
