BREAKING Rand Paul Has Dropped Out of the Presidential Race

The best thing that could happened for libertarianism in terms of the presidential race. Rand was evil but it is more obvious to see in the other candidates. None of the other candidates has Ron Paul for a father.

  1. We need our own Party. The Republican Party is unsalvageable.

    1. Ron did fine in the GOP. Sure, they were not fair to him, but it would be even more difficult to run independent. Rand's failure was... Rand's fault.

    2. He was a black sheep his whole career and they treated him like garbage at the Convention.

    3. All true but he would not have been in any televised debates or gotten access to some other platforms by running independent.

  2. Best news that I have heard all day.

Will this be a learning experience for Rand? Everything until now indicates that it will not. Does Rand even realize that McConnell is surely supporting some opponent of Rand for Senator, just as he did last time?

  3. Great, but it would be great if libertarian bloggers, writers, columnists, etc get on the same page to write the lessened learned from all of this.

Rand set out to expand the freedom movement. He supported William Kristol's foreign policy. He went to Israel, donned the yarmulke and touched the Wailing Wall. He became a Detroit Republican and got a photo op with Al Sharpton. The result? He got roughly 1/5th of the support his received 4 years earlier. His attempt to expand the Liberty movement by compromising principles resulted in significantly less support.

  4. Doug Stafford is a loser. The Paul's have poor taste in people.

  5. Wonderful news! Shocking, though, he seemed determined to stay in no matter what but finally he showed some wisdom. Will be very interesting to see what direction he takes now that running for President is finally out of his head for the first time since 2010.

  6. Maybe the Libertarian Party will do the sane thing and nominate Ron Paul as their candidate for POTUS. I will not hold my breath.
