Walter Block Advice to Bernie Sanders: Offer VP Spot to Michelle Obama

Prof Walter Block emails:

Dear Bob:

Good report on Bernie and Barack: http://www.targetliberty.com/2016/01/obama-meets-with-bernie-sanders.html

My advice to Bernie if he wants to get the Democratic nomition is to offer to Michelle Obama the Vice Presidency. This would help him in two ways vis a vis Hillary. One, Barack would then support Bernie. Two, Bernie would then shift the black Democratic vote (his major weakness amongst Democratic supporters) from Hillary to the Bernie-Michelle ticket.

Best regards,

Walter

    1. They're old high school track team teammates (True!!).
But seriously, I think it's just an academic exercise. Walter doesn't want ANYBODY to be President.

  3. Because he believes sanders has the least confrontational foreign policy of all the candidates on the democratic side.

  4. This is bad advice for Bernie. If anything this race has shown people's contempt for the Bush and Clinton attempts at a dynasty. Bringing in President Obama's wife into this will damage Sander's credibility.

If Sanders really wants to go rogue, get the black vote, and reassure people that he isn't bringing full communism to America then he should tap Ben Carson as VP.
