The Empire in Control

The Mexican government is willing to extradite captured drug lord Joaquin "El Chapo" Guzman to the United States.

This despite the fact that El Chapo has probably never entered the United States, thus making it very unlikely he actually committed any crime in the country.

But the Empire rules.

Guillermo Valdés, former director of Mexico's intelligence service told Milenio TV on Friday that he expects Guzman will be extradited, but it wouldn't happen immediately. "There's going to be a debate" in the cabinet, he said. "We're going to see a lot of pressure on (the U.S.) part to see that he's sent."

  1. Ah yes, time for negotiation. "We have what you want, now we want X, Y, and Z." Maybe they will get Z if they are lucky.
