Saw all 10 episodes of "The Man in the High Castle" last night. Amazing stuff.

@JustinRaimondo Watched one half of first episode and searched for knife to slit my wrists. A total train wreck worse than evil, boring.

@DanielLMcAdams Really? I was mesmerized, perhaps because I loved the book, which is quite different. check out my review out tomorrow.

@JustinRaimondo Maybe I was just a little grouchy and impatient. I will check out the book -- and of course your review!

@DanielLMcAdams I read the book when I was a teenager back when it first came out; had to refresh my memory, but there are big differences.

Saw all ten, but didn't read the book. My .02: Last half better than first half; I'm sure the overall point was to examine our own prejudices, racism, etc. Lots of good anti-state stuff, but that was probably incidental. But the ending was not good - no explanation of alternate reality and what happened at the end (being vague to not spoil it.) Not sure the explanation merits another season, and if there isn't one, this was really a journey with an abrupt and unexplained destination.
