As Zero Hedge points out, the Syrian rebels in this area that shot at the pilots are funded directly by the CIA. Also of note, in the second clip, English speakers can clearly be heard shouting. "Don't fire. Let's take them prisoners. Don't fire. Prisoners." Could the English speakers that are giving orders be US advisers?
When Putin says Russia was stabbed in the back, he is absolutely correct. I can see him moving back in the direction of only protecting Assad and stepping away from battling those that the US and Turkey want to take out.
