Rand Paul is attributing GOP rival Donald Trump's rise in the polls to a momentary "loss of sanity."
"I think this is a temporary sort of loss of sanity, but we're going to come back to our senses and look for someone serious to lead the country at some point," Rand told CNN's Wolf Blitzer on his show, when asked about a new national poll showing Trump still atop the crowded GOP field.
Yes, the sane thing to do would be to go back to a flip-flopper, where it would be totally unclear how such a person would act in the White House.
