I don't think Hayek ever anticipated anything like this,
Donald Trump’s remarks last week about building a wall along the southern U.S. border to keep out Mexican “rapists,” drug dealers and other crooks has resulted in Univision announcing that it will cancel its coverage of the Miss USA Pageant, which is scheduled to talk place July 12.
In a statement issued today, Trump accused the Mexican government “and others” of putting pressure on Univision to break a current contract with the Miss Universe Organization because he’d exposed “significant damage that is being done at the southern border.”
Trump said he wouldn’t be silenced.
“Mexican leadership has been doing serious damage to the United States by out-negotiating our representatives and political leaders,” he said. “They are taking our jobs, taking our money and at the same time hurting us at the border with illegals from all over the world freely flowing into our country.”
Univision is the biggest Spanish-language broadcaster in the United States.
Last week, in his speech announcing a run for president, Trump deplored immigrants from Mexico who "have lots of problems" and are "bringing those problems to us."
"They're bringing drugs, they're bringing crime, they're rapists," he said, adding, "and some, I assume, are good people."
Trump went on Fox News today to say, "Of course I'm standing by the statement." He adde, "I love Mexico, I love the Mexican people."
Trump also said he intends to sue Univision for refusing to carry the Miss USA pageant.
"I'm going to have to sue Univision now... They have a signed contract," he said. At another point Trump said, "They'll have to pay me a lot of money."

Ya, because globalist media concerns like Univision act on the orders of Mexican politicians who are "out negotiating" their U.S. counterparts. Dig a little deeper Donald but, be aware, you may not like what you find.

ReplyDelete"They're bringing drugs"
ReplyDeleteThats because Americans want to buy those drugs. Its called liberty Mr. Trump. I cant wait to read Fred Reed's answer to this "Yankee" blowhard.
Thats what I was thinking when I read this, hopefully Reed's response to this will be soon.
DeleteMexico: "They are not our friend, believe me." But, "I love Mexico, I love the Mexican people."
ReplyDeleteAnd If you can't see that I am as big a bullshit artist as any politician then you deserve me for your
presidente. Gracias, gracias. Le veré en la frontera, espalda mojada. Pero te quiero, hombre.
Jesus, I am so conflicted!!!
