NBC Universal, a unit of Comcast has issued a statement saying it will sever its ties with Donald Trump in the wake of "derogatory statements" he made regarding immigrants.
In the statement, the network said the annual Miss USA and Miss Universe pageants will no longer air on NBC.
“At NBC, respect and dignity for all people are cornerstones of our values,” the company said. “Due to the recent derogatory statements by Donald Trump regarding immigrants, NBCUniversal is ending its business relationship with Mr. Trump.”
