Howdy Doody had a greater range of expression, and was a more thought provoking marionette than todays neocon stiff, Rand Paul. His bird brained tag line sounds like something a parrot would say when the "Stand with Rand, stand with Rand" meme hits the internet.
One good thing from this is that it hopefully will make a few people who didn't know any better, actual use their brains, and learn that the Patriot Act is an act of tyranny. Much like when Rand did this over drone use, folks I knew who never thought one wit of drone use all of a sudden starting looking into their use. Stirred conversation.
