So much for those Rand Paul fanboys who hold the view that Rand doesn't want to imprison Edward Snowden.
CNN reports that during a brief speech at the Strand Book Store in New York City Rand said that Edward Snowden, whose leaks of classified information exposed the breadth of NSA monitoring activities and Director of National Intelligence James Clapper should "be in the same cell, talking about liberty and security."

Ahhhhh....take it in....that's the smell of Rand's 'liberty'...anyone have some air freshener?
ReplyDeleteRand deserves credit for being part of the coalition in the Senate who "filibustered" the Patriot Act re-authorization, but this comment on Snowden is outrageous. Rand would not even have known about the extent of the spying he filibustered against without Snowden leaking classified information. It is endless outrages like this that prevent me from supporting Senator Paul.
ReplyDeleteIf this is so, how is it that Christie is attacking Paul as a supporter of Snowden? http://www.politico.com/story/2015/05/chris-christie-defends-patriot-act-slams-rand-paul-mike-lee-118314.html
ReplyDeleteTaken out of context and twisted by retarded media presstitutes.
ReplyDeleteYes, please tell us how the quote would be different in context.
DeleteJust off the top of my head there can be two different ways to take this:
Delete1) Snowden shouldn't be in jail. But if the US govt is going to imprison him, he should go in with James Clapper, so he can educate Clapper about liberty.
2) Snowden deserves to be in jail. Maybe if he goes in with James Clapper, Clapper can educate him about the necessity of the US's spy program.
Since when is CNN counted as a reliable source?
ReplyDeleteSince When is CNN deemed Reliable?
ReplyDeleteSo the quote is false?
